Hey Sexy!
Compliments like that can just make your week! I was on campus (at TCH) on Friday for a treatment team meeting for my PC, and a bunch of us were chatting and walking across the square, and Trez and one of the boys called my cell just to say "Hey sexy, you're lookin' pretty hot walking across campus!" (by boys I mean staff). Nice confidence boost. =) Now, if I could just translate that into a real relationship, it'd be even better. Randomness is fun, but it'd be nice to have something that I knew was going somewhere. Does anyone know of someone they could set me up with?! Seriously, I'll entertain all offers!
And, on to other topics. Next week my PC and all time favorite client is leaving TCH for good! Her mom finally gave up her rights and she's found a foster family that is amazing. THey live on a ton of land, have lots of various animals, which she LOVES, and are really great for her. I'm excited for her, especially sicne she's the first client I will have seen come into the program and leave successfully. And, it's about damn time. She's been on track just about since she was admitted. It will be really sad to see her go though, because she is a model client most of the time, and can make my day 10 times better when my girls are acting like shits. The whole campus will miss her, she's the sweetheart of TCH. I'm sure there will be some tears at her closure party.
I have to tell you this one little story, and then I promise I'll be done. She came back from her first overnight visit with the foster family last Sunday, and I was able to go to her cottage and talk with her about how it went. (I took her to the house, and we talked on the way there about her being nervous and anxious about the whole situation). SHe couldn't stop smiling talking about it, and said she couldn't wait to move in. She was telling me about what she had done, what she was going to do next weekend, etc, and all of a sudden gets this really serious look on her face and asks me "We will be able to still keep in touch and see each other, right? Cuz I don't want to lose touch with you." I almost cried right then. I need to talk to her foster parents and people at TCH and see if is ok for me to still spend time with her once in a while. I know I'll be able to talk and email, but I'd like to turn it into a big bro/big sisters kind of thing, where I spend time with her at least monthly. We'll see. But, it just made my heart melt to hear her say that. Then, this Sunday when she got back, she was talking about what she'd done, the stuff they bought her and something else, and then says "And when I turn 18, I'm coming to live with you!" I wish I could, I'd love to let her live with me and be spoiled into the family!
Ok, on to other happenings. Indigo has gained almost a pound since I got her. She had her second set of shots and didn't have any allergic reaction this time! Yay. I'm trying to think of anything monumental or funny that she's done, but I can't right now.
Onex is soo much better. She's even wanted to go for walks and play with her ball!! The doggie glucosimine stuff seems to really be working! Thank goodness. =)
Um, nothing much else to report right now, I'm about to fall out I'm so tired. Last night was another one of those up till the weee hours of the morning nights. ;-)
