Wake the Nation!

Woo hoooo!! Wake Forest kicked Carolina's butt today!! Sko Wake! That means I can wear my Wake > Carolina shirt tomorrow and not get picked on about it!! hahah.

I've been babysitting all day today, and half the day yesterday. Hurrah for mula!! 12 hours worth. I brought the girlies to my apt today and we played with the puppies and watched Shrek. And, I was able to get laundry and cleaning done while they watched the movie. Much better than sitting around their house. =) Now I'm about to go to my brother's house for cake and ice cream for my nephew's bday. It's a day of small children. Tonight is my last night of freedom for the week too. =( But it'll be fun none-the-less. ;-)

I don't know if there has been anything monumental worth reporting since my last post... I had my massage on Thursday, and it was faboo. Altho, I had a headache for the rest of the night. Seems like that happened last time too. I guess I must not have had enough water. They tell you to make sure to drink a lot after, I wonder why? I think someone has told me before, but I forget. Hm. I'm going to have another one while I'm in TN at the massage school. whooo-wah. Didn't end up going to a movie with my PC girl. We ate dinner and then wandered around the mall scoping out boys. She was very disappointed cuz there weren't many people at the mall at all. Much different than the weeks before Christmas, that's for sure.

Oh, Dee text messaged me last night saying that 2 of our girls and one of the other cottage's girls ran. The trouble maker boy got out of jail, and supposedly they were going to meet up with him. Dumb asses, they're just asking for trouble. Both of them are on thin ice with either their mom or DSS workers. Too many more mistakes and they go somewhere more severe. I hope so, for our sake. It's just ridiculous that we keep having to chase them around. They need to be somewhere where they CAN'T run. But, they sure picked the wrong night to do it.. it was 30's or less last night. No more warm winter!!

Oh, back to the pranks.. Tina & one of the boys staff saw me on campus Thursday night when I was there to pick up my PC. So, about 10 mins later, Trez called me to find out what I was doing on campus (among other reasons), and to tell me that Tina said I was there to help them get him back. Hahhah. This just means Tina is starting more stuff, and will definitely be getting hers next week. Ahahahahah (evil laughter).

Guess that's it.. time to go have birthday cake.

I love massages! I am going to get one at the school of massage after I defend my master's thesis to my committee! I think the reason you're supposed to drink a lot of water is to "flush toxins" out of your system. Ordinarily, I think that sort of lingo is baloney, but in this case I think there's something to it--because the massage releases "toxins" from your muscles. I don't know why it would give you a headache though!

Just for the hell of it, I looked this up on google. Here are the sites I found with info:

    Later! ~Lauren

Yeah, I've always heard that toxins are released during a massage and it's important to let them travel quickly through your bloodstream and get out. This was from a guy who was getting certification as a massage therapist, so I think he of all people would have known. I also remember his saying that it was important not to consume alcohol immediately before or after a massage for similar reasons. I don't know any of the details of the chemistry, however; maybe Tucker, the omniscient bio major, can enlighten us!
