Not so patiently waiting..

Ok, so I get the phone call LAST Friday, a week ago, that I unofficially have this job. And I'm told I should get all the officialness on Monday. Well, it gets to be 4:00 on Monday afternoon, and I've not heard a peep. So, I call up the place, and they say "We're waiting on background check info to get back." Disappointing, but ok. So Tuesday and Wednesday come and go with NOTHING. Not a peep. I call again on Thursday, the woman is at lunch, so I have to leave a message. She calls me back and leaves me a message because she calls during the 2 minutes I'm not attached to my phone, that they're still waiting on all the background stuff to come in, and should have it all together by Friday.

Well, here it is Friday at 3:15pm. . again again, not a peep. They've got till 4:30 before I call and demand some sort of answers. This is rude, ridiculous and a bit unprofessional in my opinion. The least they can do is give me all the information (money, start dates, location, insurance info, etc) before the official offer so I can compare it to what I've got now and any other offers I might have. (that's going to be my bargaining tool if they still don't have an answer for me today- that I've got other people waiting on my decision. I mean, I've wasted a weeks worth of notice I could have given toward the 30 days that the Children's Home is trying to require. Ugh. Are they just lazy, b/c I know it doesn't take that long to get back ground and record checks.. you can go to the office and get it in like 5 mins! GRAH!

So, that's all I have for you lovely readers right now. I shall post again in an hour or 2 when I WILL have some sort of information. fer de fer de fer
