Job interview

Wednesday am I was waken up at 9:15 by a phone call from Demetria saying that she knows of 2 places that are hiring, Footprints and DAIS. Both are located in the same building not too far from where my parents live. Rah. Footprints is the company that took over Success in Gastonia. Hey, random aside.. I'm going to start referring to Success as "Failure". heheh. Anywho, so yeah, Footprints does basically the same thing as Failure was supposed to, altho I found out they don't do as much work with kids. =( Right now tho, I can't be picky. So, she gave me the names of 2 people I should see and told me I should bring my resume down to them. Of course I didn't get up right then and do it. But I did make it to the places around 2, and picked up an application while I dropped off resumes. Rah. Then, I also went to another place downtown that I'd seen an ad for in the paper and checked out their website. Got an application from them too. Fast forward to Thursday morning, I again get waken up by a phone call, this time from the Footprints people, wanting me to come in that afternoon for an interview! Rah. So, of course I went, and it went pretty well. 3 people 'interviewed' me. I say it like that because it was very informal, they were getting side tracked by various things as they told me about the job and the company. One of the girls that was there is from Tupper Lake NY, which is sorta near where my grandma used to have a house in the mountains. Rah. They were fascinated by the story about Failure, esp since they were working with the Gastonia people every now and then. So.. they have another interview on Tuesday, so I should hear mid to end of the week, same time I should hear from Stokes County. This place sounds like it'd pay more, but it'd be less working with kids and families. So, I'll have to wait to see what they both say and then if I get offered both, do some serious comparisons. Wee.

That's about it... nothing else from Failure. I meant to call Sherley, but forgot. I spose I could call him over the weekend.. I think Demetria said that the President guy filed for bankruptcy now too.. so there appears to be an ice cubes chance in hell that we'll ever get money from them. I guess we're still just waiting to see if Sherley can save the day and pay us or not. I'm kind of mad at him too, for not calling me directly to tell me what's going on. Oh well.

I went with Tucker, Don, Katie & her friend to a haunted house in Greensboro on Friday night. It was $20, which seems a bit high, but it was pretty big and scary. It was in someone's huge backyard, and they've been doing it for years. Check it out.. Woods of Terror. We had a blast being scared and running from people jumping out at us. I think it was worth the $20 considering we were there for an hour. Yay! I think Tucker & hopefully Don, and Alice are gong to come over Monday night to give out candy to the kiddos. Maybe we can bob for apples and eat donuts on a string too!!

Ok, I'm babysitting, and I need to get one of the kiddos to bed.
