A bunch of Tazmanian devils!
Holy poo. Christmas with all the brothers & sisters & kids was CRAZY!! All the kids, well the 4 youngest ones were like little tazmanian devils wooshing through the downstairs and tearing into the presents! Paper & boxes were flying everywhere! Then, as soon as they determined that there were no more presents for them, they took off to go play outside or upstairs. Oh my goodness. I can't handle it!
Other than the chaos of that, Christmas was good. I spent the night at my parents house Christmas eve, as I usually do, and we opened our stockings. My favorite stocking stuffer was a jump/zip/flash drive (I don't know the correct name..) !! So now I can (and have already) keep all my work info with me so I can work at home should I need to. And, of course, finally get all the stuff off my laptop. =)
Christmas morning, I woke up at like 8:30, thanks to the dogs hearing my dad or maybe the cat clunking around upstairs in the kitchen (which is right over my room). And, I needed food too. So, we started opening presents around 9, I guess. Yay. I got a kitchen aid mixer!! Hot damn! I'm so excited, but I haven't had time to use it yet. dangit. And, a fabulous new office chair. What else? Gilmore Girls season 4, a new mag light (mine is lost somewhere in my house), a candle burner (you put a jar candle in it and it melts the wax so it smells more and doesn't get used up as fast), a water/rock fountain, a trampoline, bath & body works lotions & room fresheners, new food/water bowls for the doggies, a massage gift certificate, Old Navy & Target cards. Pretty snazzy.
I so enjoyed having a 4 day weekend.. it was so hard to go back to work on Tuesday, esp with everyone else (well, not everyone, but a lot of people) being off for the whole week. Damn being new on a job and not having time to take off and working for a place that doesn't give lots of holiday time off!! I tell ya, that was one of the only good thigns at TCH.. 96 vacation hours off the top! You didn't have to earn it at all. Grumble grumble. .
Mom & I went out shopping on Monday, it wasn't too crazy. We didn't go near the mall area though, we went to University-ish. (Wal-Mart, Target, Home Depot, Lowes, etc). Mom was looking for a new fake Christmas tree, but we didn't find one. =( I don't even remember what all I got.. OH! We went to Edward McHayes (a used book/cd/dvd store) and I got Harry Potter 1 and Oceans 12 for $7 each. I think that's it really.. oh, wrapping paper and Christmas cards at Target for 50% off. Good deal. I need to go some more serious shopping..I want to start next years Christmas shopping NOW! And do it all year so it's not all at once spending lots of money. Ya know?
Anywho.. I'm wasting time at work, b/c I don't have much else to do for this month.. I visited all my people, completed all my treatment plan updates, etc etc etc. So, I'm just finding ways to do billable time. it's silly... I wish I could just sit at home & do it. I could now that I have all the files on my flash drive! ooh, I should check into that.
Ok, I think I'm gonna go and pretend to work, and call and see if I can schedule my massage. ahhhhh

Your Christmas sounds way fun! We had a bunch of people opening presents too, but the youngest was 16, and it was a bit more orderly. =) Enjoy all your new loot! We went to a mall near Denver on the 26th, and it was insane... particularly Crate & Barrel, where we were determined to get clearance Christmas stuff, though my mom had to wait in line for about 45 minutes while Jack and I ran through the rest of the mall to check out the other sales. It was nutty. But I got cute reindeer glasses and some fun coasters, a silver ornament, and other Christmas stuff. I hope you got some cool stuff at Target!
