Happy Birthday to me!

I'm 26 today, I'm old! Dee was freakin' out last week about turning 25. That didn't bother me so much. But 26 does. It's like I've crossed the line into being that much closer to 30, and being a real full fledged adult. I feel like I should start acting more adult like now.. but I still feel like I'm college student age. It's really all just a silly number and shouldn't matter, but it still freaks me out a bit. :-P

Working, unfortunately all day today. Blargh. Then going to get a quick work out in before birthday celebrations begin. We're going to Tokyo Japanese Steakhouse for dinner, then I think back to my house to do the traditional cake decorating and play games. Rah. I'm very sad that neither Katherine nor Erica are around to celebrate this year. This will be the first birthday/New Years in a LONG time that we haven't all gotten together. Trips are sporadic this year, and everyone is just missing being in W-S at the same time. =( Saddness.

Oh! Suddenly we are having ALL the brothers & sisters & significant others, kids & dogs at Mom & Dad's for Christmas!! My sister from ATL got a good deal on a flight and is flying to Clt, where she'll hook up with my other sister, her 3 kids, ex-husband and dog. Kathy & Treana & Jade will be over, my brother & his wife & 2 kids and perhaps Amy & Bill will all be crammed in to Mom & Dad's. CRAZY!! If we survive without my dad blowing up it'll be a miracle.

Anywho.. gotta get to work so I can accomplish something today.. I do NOT want to be working today. I want to have a whole week off to enjoy Christmas! It sucks not having time to take off! The one thing I miss about The Children's Home.. the crazy amounts of vacation time.
