In less than 2 weeks...
I'll be chillin' in (hopefully) sunny & warm Nassau! It's time to start finding the summer clothes & start packin'! Colleen, Kara & I are going shopping this weekend for cruise attire. I don't really NEED anything, so I'm going to try to be good & not spend any money, but maybe I'll let myself get one new fun piece of clothing.
In other news, I FINALLY got off my BS probation period at work. My supervisors extended it for another month (they wanted to do 2, I talked em to 1) because of my lack of "initiative" in working with my non-existant clients. !? WTF. It really sounded like they wanted me to just follow other people around and find random shit to do so I could say I was doing something. So, for the last month, every time someone asked me to help out somewhere, I felt like I couldn't say no, even if I really did have my own stuff to do. Whatever. But, I met with my supervisor last Monday & he was like "GREAT JOB!, You're officially an employee now!" Which means I can FINALLY take days off with pay & call in sick & still get paid. It's about damn time. I've had to take 2 days without pay already & it's so not fun. But, now I can go cruisin' & have paid days off, and call in sick and/or play hooky and still get paid. YES!
Last weekend mom & I went to Lowes & Home Depot & bought 15 bags of gravel to put along side my skinny driveway to get rid of the mud pit I created by driving on the grass. My driveway is not wide enough to park my car at the front of it near the side door & still get in the door without having to contort myself, so I just pull off to the side a few feet and it was fine. Until the grass wore away and left me with just dirt/clay, which turned into a big mess whenever it rained. My tires are still a mess, I haven't cleaned them up since we got rid of the mud. So, we smushed the gravel down into the ground and TADAA! No more mud or mess. =) Fabulous. I don't know what's next for outside.. probably to start planting pretty spring flowers again!
