Happy Birthday, Melody!
Melody is 6 today!!! (42 in doggie years) That's amazing. I can't beleive I've had her that long.
Onex turned 16 two weeks ago, now that's crazy. She's doin' pretty damn good for being that old too! I don't think she can hear too much, and I'm not sure about her vision. But, she's eating, peeing, pooping and walking on her own. She's definitely more grumpy lately, but I think if I were her age I would be toO!!
So I think I am officially a blog slacker. My posts are sporadic lately, but I have nothing much exciting going on. I feel the need to blog today though, exciting or not. Mostly because I've been catching up on everyone else's posts.
So, Obama is gonna be in Winston-Salem tomorrow. I wish I could go check him out. He's doing a "Town Hall meeting" at the coliseum annex. From reading Alice's blog, I know it's sold out. And, I have to be in court for one of my kiddos way up in Stokes county anyway.. so it wasn't meant to be. I hope if he comes back here I can get to see him. The early voting for NC primaries started today, and I think I'm going to try to take advantage of that, cuz I think actual voting day might be slightly nuts, since this is such a close, controversial race. I'm not as informed as I could be; I can't make myself sit down and make sense of each candidate's stance. But, I don't tend to care about all the details anyway. I listen to bits & pieces of debates, news reports, read articles that aren't too technical and make my decisions that way. I can't even really say why I want to vote for Obama, I just know I do NOT want Hilary. I think it's more of a personality thing-ish.. and I just get a sketchy, sneaky "NO WAY" vibe from her. I think most politicians have the tendancy to be skeezy, but I don't get a lot of that from Obama. He just seems more down to earth, more laid back but on top of things and likable. Which, was also the vibe I got from Bill Clinton. As cliche' as it sounds, I tend to be a good people reader, so I'm going with it. I guess I'll be ok voting for Hilary should she be the final democratic candidate.. I just hope I don't have to!
Funny, the other day I was thinking about the ridiculous gas prices, and how cheap they were when I got my license. I remember going to Charlotte-ish and paying $0.75/gallon at some point around that time. Now, over 10 years later (with 8 of those years being under Bush...) it's almost $3 more a gallon. Coincidence? Hmm.. I think not. Bastards.
Anywho, I know I had more to say, but it's time for John and Kate Plus 8! I LOVE that show. Perhaps I will remember to continue this post at a later time..

Dude, I love Jon & Kate Plus 8 too! I am enthralled with them because they are just over an hour from me. :-)
Happy b-day to Melody!
Funny, I was thinking about gas prices when I got my license too. I remember filling up at that gas station across from McDo on Robinhood Rd for 99 cents/gallon. Sigh.
