I PASSED!

Wow. It's kind of surreal. I passed my licensure (NCE) exam! I found out about 3 minutes after I finished, I had no idea that I would. I expected a 4-6 week wait. I stopped to potty on the way to check out, and when I got up there the lady handed me a sheet of paper and it said "PASS". Holy poo, I almost started jumping up and down!! I had to double check a few times to make sure I was reading it right. I had to get 93 out of 160 correct, and I got 101! Sweet. I was doubtful at times during the test, cuz I got some questions where I was just like "What the hell?!". But, there were 200 total questions, and they only score 160.. so maybe a lot of the odd ones didn't get scored. Phew. So, now all that separates me from signing my name "Nicole M Heller, LPC" are a few pesky hours (docusmented) of supervised work. Shouldn't take more than 6 months, I'd guess. Gotta dot all the I's and cross all the T's in the paperwork and I'll be good to go! It's kinda anti climactic. Guess I'll have to wait to really celebrate when I get my little certificate and my counselor number, etc. :-)
