with fancy license, comes fancy salary!

Hot diggity dog. I got a 10% raise for getting my LPC. I always said that's what I'd demand/ask for, but NEVER expected to get it. My jaw hit the floor and then I couldn't stop smiling when my new supervisor (who makes me want to go to work everyday!) told me. She is one of the best supervisors I've ever had, maybe THE best. I wish they'd give her the job permanently. No one has applied tho, so that's good for now!

We have a new permanent CEO at OV, the interim will be leaving sometime in the next 2 weeks, I think. I hope the new guy keeps up what she's been doing, because a lot of good things have happened since she took over. We actually ran a schedule today (or atleast up until 5pm, I wonder if it continued after..). It was pretty amazing. There were groups going on ALL day, not just when I did mine. Like a real treatment facility.

Tomorrow I am gonna be hanging around in the partial hospitalization program, so I know a little more about how that works. The plan is to open an adolescent one in June, and I've already called dibbs on that therapist job. It's not official, but my supervisor keeps talking like it is. For me & my favorite nurse to do it, which is awesome because we make the best team ever. =)

So other than work, my life has been taken over by babysitting. I have 3 families I sit for regularly now. Mon & Weds evenings, Sunday mornings & then random other evening/weekends. This week I'm ONLY sitting Mon & Wed, and it's like "woah, what do I do with all this free time?!" I don't know how to just chill in my house anymore.

The usual, but later than usual, spring trip is less than 5 weeks away. This year we're doing Orlando & Ft Lauderdale for 5 nights, and then 2 nights on a cruise. Colleen got some deal where we get a rental car, all inclusive hotel stays & the cruise and all we have to do is give up a few hours to listen to a time share spiel. We'll see if it works out as nicely as it sounds. It'll be in Flordia/tropical locations, so it can't be too horrible. And we have lotsa time to lay in the sun and be lazy. We were all excited to do the Disney "give a day get a day" program, but waited too long to sign up and they're "out of" the free tickets. Suck-o. We're hoping we can find someone we know to get us free/reduced cost tickets so we can have something to do while we're in Orlando that doesn't cost a fortune.
