A happy phone call

Oh, I'm so excited. My pc called me last night! =) She was cleaning her room and found the card I gave her with my number on it, so she called and we had a good hour+ chat. She's doing wonderfully with her foster family, and sounds really happy. Hurray, it's so good to hear positive stuff from her. We're going to try to visit next week, once her EOGs and stuff are done. yay.

In other not so happy news, I'm going to bitch slap my damn supervisor. ACtually, I'd prefer to ream her a new asshole, but that might be a bit messy. I get into work today at 2, to find only one first shift staff, and no one else coming in to work with me and 5 girls. Oh HELL no. So I call my lovely supervisor and she's absolutely no help. Big shocker there. Then I try coverage on call, and get voice mail and no call back until 2-3 hours later. So, I finally decide to call the head honcho and mention several times that my supervisor has done shit for the situation except blame other people. ERGH! I'm going to get all my stuff together and set up a meeting with him to complain about the supervisory situation here. It's retarded, and it's not good when the whole entire staff feels unsupported by the one person who we're supposed to go to with problems. And the major reason for people wanting to leave here is her, not the kids. It's ridiculous and pathetic. But, whatever... I'll do what I can, and get myself out of here. At this point, I'm so pissed with the situation that I'd leave to go work in retail. Jesus.

OH! Another cute Indigo story. Saturday Mom & I took Indigo, Melody, Pebbles & Jezzy to Horizon Park and went on one of the hiking trails. All 4 of them loved it, of course, noses to the ground constantly. Well, there was a stream (or perhaps several, not sure if it was all one or not), but there were several points that we could walk up to it without having to go down a steep incline. So, Indigo thought that was the coolest thing. She went plopping through the water, not caring how deep it was. She had to swim at a few points and just carried on like nothing was wrong. She had a blast traipsing back and forth. Pebbles joined in too. And, Miss Priss Meldoy didn't even want to get her feet wet. Hahha, it was funny. I wish I had taken my camera. Next time I will. Indigo is just so cute with her infatuation with water. =) I have a nature loving puppy!

Hm.. guess that's it. It's almost midnight, so hopefully we'll have some 3rd shift people coming in on time, cuz I'm leaving by 12:15 if no one is here, and they can fire me if they dare.

More power to you for calling the head honcho! Sometimes the higher-ups don't know what's going on and if they did, they could help solve the situation. I know we had situations like that when I was at CrisisLine. Plus, I've definitely had experiences at PSU where multiple people have the same bad experience with the same one person. What is more likely--that those multiple people are all doing the same thing wrong, or that one person is at the root of it all?? Hmm. At least you have a cute puppy to distract you from all the work crap though! :-)
