Long lost kiddo

I was doing dishes last night while babysitting when Dee calls from TCH. She says "You're never going to guess who just called up here looking for you!" It was Casey, a former resident who completed the program successfully and went on to a foster home only to leave there suddenly and go back into placement, at which point I lost contact with her. Dee wanted to know if she could give her my email address and I told her she could go ahead and give her my phone number, cuz I'd given it to her a long time ago when she left TCH. So, about 5 mins later she called me and we chatted for about 25 mins. How cute. She's living with an aunt now, doing well in school and life. It made me so happy to hear from her & know that she was ok. It was bizarre, b/c Cat, ALice & I had been talking about her the night before, and then I went with Colleen on Friday to go meet one of her clients that I'll be taking over with up in King and we drove right by where Casey's grandmother lives! Freakish.
