Where to begin? So much has been going on lately, it’s overwhelming!!
]
First of all, the house. The inspection was last week, there were several significant problems that showed up. Mainly the gutters leaking water into the house. You can see some of the water in some of the pics I put up. According to the inspector it should be pretty easy to fix. Some problems were found with both of the tub faucets, water collected in the crawlspace, the ceiling fan doesn’t work, blah blah. All in all, the inspector listed 19 things that are problematic. The realtor and I came up with a list of 12, I think, that we requested to be fixed. So far, the seller has verbally agreed to fix all 19, and has started working on the house!! He should sign the official paperwork Monday saying he’s fixing everything by closing!! Woo hooo. Hopefully there will be no more glitches with that and closing will take place on January 25th. I’ll keep you posted.
In the mean time, I think I’ve picked paint colors for my bedroom and the living room. I think that’s all I’m going to start with, and will do more as time goes on. I want to take out the carpet in the dining room and put down some sort of linoleum or fake hard wood floor or SOMETHING, because carpet in a dining room just seems messy, and, I need more non carpeted area for the dogs!! Oooh, I should paint the bathrooms too! That’d be pretty easy. Random thought there.
So Christmas was good, quiet but good. We had Christmas with my brother & his family on the 21st. Actual Christmas morning with just me, Mom & Dad. My sister and her girlfriend came about 5pm. Then the crew from Charlotte came up on the 28th. It was nice to have all that time off. Mom and I did some shopping/returning. I slept and was lazy, watched a lot of Grey’s Anatomy dvds. It was great to just be away from work for a while and not even have to think about it.
Jack & Erica were here for a few hours, and we all got to hang out. Lauren & Steve were also around for a few days, so I got plenty of Lauren time in. Katherine & Hay were in town for less than 24 hours, so I didn’t even try to see her. I’ll have to make a random trip to Baltimore I guess.
I just booked my flight to Orlando, for my cruise with Carmen in April!! I was able to get a pretty good deal, flying down with Southwest and back with AirTran. I couldn’t get cheap flights both way with either one, so I split it!
Work is, well ridiculous. The “let go” one of the therapists (not Jacki) right before Christmas. Well, actually her last day was January 5th, but of course they told her before Christmas. So, that means Jacki & I each picked up another whole classroom of kids. For me, that’s 4 more right now, with 4-5 waiting to start. I was all caught up before the break, had everything in order, and now I feel like I’m swamped again, trying to keep from drowning. It’s not fun, and I think it was stupid of them to fire someone. But, their only concern is money.. and we don’t have anywhere near full capacity, so.. I’m not happy with how it happened or with the place in general. I’m going to stay until I really start to fear for my job.. there are still 2 more people that were hired after me, so if they go with that (their supposed main reason for firing the other therapist) then I should have some good notice if they’re going to send me packing. I’m keeping my eyes and ears open for now though. You can never be too careful. My kids are a little less crazy, we’ll see how long that lasts. I’ve got several that are transitioning back to their regular schools, so that’s good, I guess. I love working with them, and most of the families, so as long as that keeps up it’ll be good.
Anywho, that’s enough for now. Hope everyone’s holidays were fun filled!

Your decorating plans are very exciting! I always have to go room by room and be really happy with my vision before we actually paint or decorate, so I understand your wanting to do only a few rooms at first. The colors you've picked sound cool, and I can't wait to see how it turns out! =)
