Once again I say... (or rather RANT)

INSURANCE COMPANIES SUCK.

Why? Because, even with as great as my new insurance with Youth Opp is, they still have a freakin' $1000 deductible for insulin pump supplies. What that translates to is that I have to pay, on my own, for $1000 worth of supplies before they even cover 80% of the costs. What f'n bull shit is that? They'll pay for needles, insulin, strips, etc right away as an RX, but not pump supplies. So, it's like I'm being punished for having the initiative to use a pump, have better control and maintain my health better than those people on shots? How f**ked up is that? Oh, it makes me sooooooo mad. Some day, someone is going to have the brains to start up an insurance company ONLY for diabetics and all their supplies and put all these other comapnies to shame. If I knew how to do it, I would. ARGH I want to punch someone in the face for this.

I'm almost out of infusion sets (the little sticky patches where the insulin goes into me) and to order 4 boxes (with 10 sets per box) is $400!! Who the HELL has that kind of money laying around to spend like that? yes, I'm sure I can talk to the company and arrange a payment plan.. but jesus, it's just RIDICULOUS!
