I must apologize
So, I got home from work today and checked my mailbox. There were only 2 pieces of mail, one of them from BCBS. I figured it was an explanation of benefits from one of my chiropractor appts. No no.. it was an EOB for my insulin pump supply order.. showing that BCBS paid $320 of the $400 bill!!! Leaving me with only $80 copay! HOT DAMN. As my previous post ranted about, I was told I would have to pay for $1000 worth of supplies before they would pay 80%. Guess that woman didn't know what she was talking about. I'm wondering if it is because the supplies require a prescription. Not for sure, but not going to question or complain. I'll happily pay $80! Sigh of relief.
In other news.. work continues to be crazy busy yet fun. Family sessions are up and running for most kids. 2-3 kids will be discharged soon for various reasons, only 1 because he's completed the program. Sad, huh? One mom thinks her son has been here long enough and is pulling him on her own.. sad. And the other one has been with us for a year and has made NO progress and is now going backwards. I can't stand him; he's SOOOO obnoxious: disrespectful, rude, mean, and just a plain pain in the ass!
I'll write more later, Meldoy is barking at me to take her for a walk.

I love pleasant financial surprises, especially when they come from unlikely sources like insurance companies. =)
It's really too bad when parents pull their kids out of programs that are doing them good. On a somewhat related note, Morgan was in the gifted program at the same elementary school I went to, but her mom was tired of driving all the way downtown every day, so she pulled her out of that program and had her skip a grade so she could go to a middle school that had a bus system. That was for a much more selfish reason than it sounds like this mom was using, but still... take advantage of resources, people!! Put your child's interests first! It's too bad that you're losing that kid.
