Stuff going on in my head..

I waited 2 hours!

To get my passport on Saturday! UGH! The mall PO is the only PO with hours on Saturday, and the rest of the PO's that do passports only have 8-5 (or less) hours that are impossible for me to get to during work because it's been exceedingly crazy lately. So, I got to the mall a little before 12, walked into the PO and saw a big ass line already formed for the passport area. Ugh. I heard some people in front of me saying they'd been there for over an hour and there were STILL 6 people in front of them. Oh boy. But, since I had nothing else to do, I decided to wait it out. Some people were doing whole families, do their turns took forever and a day. Some people didn't have the right info so they argued with the lady. I played tetris on my phone for a while, and texted a bunch of people... so it actually didn't creep by too slowly. My turn took 5 mins, maybe more, cuz I was on top of things and had shit ready! Soo... $157 and 2 hours later, my passport should be processed and mailed to me within 3 weeks. Way to go waiting till the last minute! My cruise is 4 weeks from Friday!!

If you haven't already, you must check out webshots, because I finally did my music wall/red room! And it's awesome!!

Work is calming down this week. The last few weeks have been rough. So much so that I had to take TWO mental health days for myself last week. I just couldn't go into work. I was mentally & physically exhausted and couldn't face it. Jacki & I both are seriously feelin' the burnout lately. The lovely higher ups are feeding us more and more BS and asking more and more from us, yet give us no incentives (other than trying to keep our jobs!) for it. Every week in supervision there's a list of shit we're not doing right or need to do different or need to add to our ever growing stack of bull shit paperwork. I have not had a problem with one kid or one family lately.. they're all doing great. It's the saddest thing that it's the company you work for that causes you the most problems.

Anywho, time for me to sleep so my energy is up for tomorrow.

Sheesh. I remember waiting a long time in line with my mom when we did ours a few years ago, and I think we had to wait until a Saturday as well, so it was nutso. At least you got through it and will have a passport, which just makes you feel like you can jet off to some exotic locale at a moment's notice. =)

Hang in there with the work stuff. It stinks that they're piling so much on you and not seeming to appreciate you, but I'm glad the people you're helping are still keeping you motivated and that things are going well on that end, at least. Sigh.
