Not as slack as Tucker... :-P
I love you Tucker!! But seriously, you need to update. I'm only about 3 weeks behind.. so I can't feel TOO bad. hehehe.
Anywho.. so it's been 3 weeks since the passport extravaganza.. AND I DON'T HAVE IT YET!! I leave for my cruise in 11 days!! Getting nervous. There apparantly is an over abundance of applications right now so they're slow. Are we surprised? I paid the hefty sum of $60 extra to get it in time to cruise, so I better not have to kick some ass!!
My housewarming party was March 10th. It went ok.. not a lot of people were able to come, it wasn't as fun as the last one. Colleen randomly had to go to Rhode Island to see her brother, Jacki was sick, George had to work on his house, and other random people couldn't make it. Sadness, I wanted to show my work off to lots of people. I do appreciate the people that did come.. Tucker & Don, Alice, Amy, Carlos (from work) and I all played Cranium till about 11, then everyone went home. What a bunch of party animals we are, huh?? My house will never be that clean and organized again! I should have taken pics.
Crap, I forgot what I was going to say next.. um, THINK! OH! My landlord no more FINALLY got up with me & gave me my money!! I've been calling him since Jan 31 to tell him I'm out of his house, come check it and give me my deposits back!! At first I called every couple weeks.. then once a week, and then I finally set my cell phone alarm to go off every day to remind me to call him!! Once I finally got him on the phone, we agreed to meet at 9:30am on the same Saturday as my house warming party.. joyus. So, I went over and waited in my car till about 9:50.. no sign of him. Called 2 of the numbers I have for him & got nothing. The 3rd number ended up being his home number, so I talked to his wife (I assume..) and she called him to have him call me back. Well, we agreed on 9:30 because he had to be to work at 11.. so when he calls me he tells me he's doing a new hire training and it ran over?! Guess it wasn't important enough to call me & let me know. So, he said he had quickly looked in the house & the only problem was a window that I broke when I was trying to get it open, so he would need to fix it. He said he would be off work by 5 on Sunday and that he'd go to Lowes then & check out how much it'd cost to fix it and then call me. Annoying, but whatever. So, Sunday evening rolls around, I wait till about 6:30 and haven't heard a peep. I called his cell several times and left messages. By 7:30 still nothing, so I called the home number and he was there. He was too tired from work to deal with it!! Hello, just call me & tell me so I'm not waiting around! This time he asks me what my schedule is like for Monday, to which I reply I'll be off work around 5. So, he PROMISES to meet me at the house at 5. And, he actually did. And even called me at 4:30 to tell me he was on his way! He only charged me $50 for the window, so I got my big fat deposit money back!! Rock on.
Unfortunately, a big chunk of the deposit money went right to the bank to pay for my PAIN IN THE ARSE CAR, which decided to act up again the first part of March. I ran to the gas station to get Jacki, Shannon & I big fat diet cokes to help us make it through supervision.. and when I got back in the car and turned the key all the car did was click. Not even a battery type click, just the key, sounding sorta like it broke off in the ignition. I called AAA, then Flow VW and had it sent right down the street to be checked. I ended up having to get a whole new ignition switch & other ignition parts.. which themselves weren't too expensive ($250ish), but labor doubled that cost. Seriously, I need to go to school to be a mechanic and I'd make twice as much money as I'm making trying to help kids stay out of trouble. NO SENSE! My car is fine now, with the exception of one of it's headlights. They replaced a bulb while it was there, and it's out again, so they didn't do a good job! Watch it be something electrical that has to be fixed instead of just replacing the bulb.. it's a never ending saga with the poor jetta!!
Mom & I planted a bunch of pansies in my front yard today, so I'll have to take pics tomorrow in the sunshine & post them! I'm so excited for yard work! I might even plant a garden too!! :-)
Onex is whining & sneezing at me, so I guess I'd better take her outside to potty before she does it in here.

Yay for getting almost all of your security deposit back! We were convinced that our BR landlord was going to find some way of keeping our deposit when we moved out of our apartment and into our house, partly because it took him so freakin' long to get it to us, but we managed to get the whole thing back. Such a relief, I know. Sounds like it came just in time to rescue your codependent car!
Thanks for the visual on Onex... she's hilarious with her sneezing and excited bouncing. =)

You had to get a passport for a cruise to the Bahamas? That's strange. Maybe security is more strict now, but a passport is always a good thing to have no matter what. So when I go back to London you can come see me. :-p
