Bounce U

We went on our first field trip with the Summer Program on Friday, to Bounce U. It's this crazy place with bouncy inflatables, like they have at fairs or kids parties. There were a couple of obstacle courses, some big tall slides, basketball courts, etc. It was pretty fun. The kids wore themselves out with all the playing so it was a quiet ride home.

The first week went pretty well.. after we were forced to take off Thursday & Friday cuz someone made a mistake on telling us the right starting dates. So instead of letting us have 2 more days with no kids to plan, they forced us (again, so we're not really surprised) to take PTO. They told us this at the end of the day on Monday. Then, thinking it'd make everyone all happy, Wednesday they said "well, we're going to go against the head honcho and if you want to work on Thursday you can". Too little too late guys! They knew on Friday it was a possibility, and most likely going to happen, didn't mention a thing to us to all for people to make travel plans or something. Then, at the last minute after we've already started planning for our days off, they change their minds again to tell us we can work. GET A CLUE!! So despite lack of planning time, the first week went pretty well.

Jacki & I have a whole classroom for our groups. So we had fun decorating it. We need to fix it up again, cuz a lot of the stuff we put on the walls has fallen down!! It was looking pretty cool. I'll have to take some pics.

I'm waiting around to see if the sun is going to come out today for another pool day. I floated around the pool all afternoon yesterday, even fell asleep in the water. Gotta love it!
